Youth Support Coordinators (or "YSCs" as they are affectionately known) are funded by the Queensland Department of Communities and assist school and TAFE students and their families face challenges that put them at risk of disengaging from their senior phase of learning.
Our YSCs can assist young people with things like negotiating re-entry into school, purchasing school equipment necessities, re-establishing family relationships, and income assistance/advocacy, just to name a few.
YSCs work alongside schools and the broader community to develop awareness of issues affecting young people, particularly activities to support their attendance at school.
