South Burnett CTC - Working for our Community

Supported Accommodation and Assistance Program (SAAP) is a program that focuses on supporting and assisting youths aged between 12 to 25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program provides ‘at risk’ youths with information and assistance so they can make informed decisions, understand processes and empower themselves.

Supporting those in need is achieved via several different avenues including the use of strength-based techniques employed by the staff. This involves assisting a young person through helping to identify their own personal strengths and then using them as building blocks for a positive outcome.

The SAAP program also has crisis accommodation in the form of a hostel for homeless youths between the ages of 16 to 21.
